It was 2018 and I was at a career high as a thought leader in higher education and a resilience facilitator. I had been tasked to coach and train new managers who had minimal leadership experience but had incredible potential to become capable, effective leaders.
As I did what I do best, I had a stark realization: Amidst inexperience and skill gaps, these new leaders primarily struggled to build relationships with their teams. This led to their discouragement and deep feelings of being devalued, creating a cycle that perpetuated itself and led to higher employee turnover. I could also see a clear solution and knew that I had the ability to help.
So in 2020, I created Resilient Solutions and the Resilience Roadmap, designed to equip new leaders with the skills and experience necessary to prevent unnecessary team tumult and turnover.
Now, through the Resilience Roadmap, I help new leaders discover their strengths and identify their gaps in the areas of leadership and emotional intelligence.
